I was getting ready to put away some of my completed pages and guess what.........I remembered why I still have them piled up - no room in my albums. I need new albums. I haven't been sticking with one particular album, any of you scrapbookers have any suggestions? I'm sure there will be a sale at No Bare Pages this weekend for National Scrapbook Day and I will need to stock up, anyway here's a peek at some of my completed pages.
Our neighbors Pat and Willie tied the knot in Asheville, North Carolina a few weeks ago and our other neighbors, Nan and Paul threw a really nice reception for them in their house. The weather was picture perfect on Saturday and there were a lot of people there to celebrate their nuptials, although they've been together quite a while. Great food and my favorite black and white cake from Market of Choice. Many people bought wine, since Pat and Willie are wino's and I've never seen so much wine for one party! Congrats to Pat and Willie!
Notice those tall bushes in the back---more poison oak! It's everywhere! Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do with poison oak, like maybe it can be a cure for something (ha)?

My grammy has all her pictures at work and can't post today so now it's my turn.........I'm tired of hearing about Shadow all the time, Shadow this, Shadow that. I love Shadow (hee-hee), I LOVE to torture him. I wait around corners and I hide so that I can bounce on him and give him the ole 1,2 (you know slap, slap). He's such a woose! Once in a while I try to lay next to him so that we can "play" but he'll jump up and leave the room. Sometimes I really want to play, but he doesn't know it, he'll give grammy "that look", you know, "mom she's looking at me!" He's always scared that I'm going to hurt him, come on Shadow be a man! If I see him standing at the door I will tell Grammy that he's waiting and wants to come in, you see I can be nice. I do know that if anything, Shadow would protect me, or is that the other way around???? Well, I have to go now I see a couple of birds zipping around on the porch and man do I love birds (hee-hee)!
My birds are back. It doesn't matter what I put by the front door they will make a nest, oh wait I'll take that back, I bought a basket for the wall that I thought they could easily make a nest in and they didn't like it. They made their nest on the fan that year. Which was not a good idea. When the wind would kick up it would spin, well lo and behold one day I was trying to figure out what was on the porch floor and realized it was the nest, broken eggs and a baby was stuck between the floor boards. I was screaming in a panic and had Pete run and get the ladder to put the nest and the baby back up. Yes, the baby survived. This year I didn't take my Valentine's Day decoration off (it's a heart/generic) and they managed to get in and make their nest.
How could you not love a face like that? Every morning Shadow wakes up and we go to the pantry. He has his vitamin, glucosomine, and a C.E.T. hextra chew (for his teeth) and breakfast. After that he is off to chase squirrels, moles and whatever else is running around the property. When I leave to go to work this is pretty much what he looks like. Either there wasn't anything running around or he was already tired. He usually is hanging out on the porch hiding behind the railing stalking out his prey or under his favorite tree, where he has a great view of the property. Today he was literally hanging out, he didn't move an inch when I told him good-bye, love you. His feet are even clean, what's up with that!
